Walking in the dreamland

I enjoy visiting art galleries, not only to get inspiration for my design works but also to heal myself. I fancy the art forms in the minimalist style and simple way and have the massive and unusual feeling when you walk around the artworks, like the works by Olafur Eliasson, and Peter Zimmermann I have written about. That makes visiting the gallery and spending time there important. The photos can not convey the power of the works. Today, I would like to introduce another artist, her name is Anne Lindberg.

American visual artist Anne Lindberg is active in painting and installation art. She has attracted public attention with her magnificent and light line installations, exploring the curious relationship between space and sense.

Space and line are the main elements of Lindberg’s work. Her works are connected by thousands of colorful lines. According to the light and spatial layout of the site, she designs exquisite and grand three-dimensional line installations. Suspended in the air, the installation, under the action of light, is like floating, dreamy clouds suspended in the sky, stimulating the viewer’s imagination.

Walking is an essential step in appreciating Lindberg’s work, and even the artist himself sees it as an indispensable philosophical and artistic step. Lindberg says she needs to walk back and forth whenever she pulls a thin thread between a soft wall pad or two walls. In the process of walking, every thought, memory, and perception jumps to form a dialogue with the work. Perhaps, for the viewer, the emotions, memories, or ideas that pass through the mind while walking in the sea of clouds and lines of the ethereal air also constitute the unique meaning of the works.

I wish one day I can visit every work by these great artists!
