Why you need to have Hat Attitude!

Design is Design!

I have always believed in the sentiment above…. Well, more correctly design processes work the same in all design fields;  start from the ideas, and then those get translated into visual images of sketches, physical models, etc. and then finally seeing the physical outcome of your idea.  They work the same in whether designing a building, dress, or a hat!

I have also enjoyed meeting various designers, and learned about how their thinking process started and eventually arriving at the final product. I met such a designer, Amparo Findlay (hatitude.ca), and poked her thoughts on all things related to hat design, hat attitude, hatitude.  Here is Amparo’s story on building the hat empire….

What do you think “good design” (architecture, interior, fashion, industrial, etc. entails?

I believe that good design  follows the principles of design while fulfilling a functional objective. It should also delight the consumer/client with some unexpected,  whimsical  or innovative element that makes one stand back and smile.
